How many cells in 13S5P? Full S and P cell count chart
Short answer: multiply the two numbers. 13S5P is 13 × 5 = 65 cells. The S count is the number of cells in series, the P count is the number in parallel, and the cell count is the product — which is also what sizes the case.

Cells marked * are within the capacity of at least one Hailong-pattern mould in our range (52–117 cells on 18650). The dash means no housing in this range is built for that configuration — a 20S10P pack is 200 cells and needs a bespoke enclosure, not a catalogue one.
Worked examples
| Configuration | Cells | Voltage (nominal) | Practical note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10S4P | 40 | 36 V | Fits most compact and folding housings |
| 13S4P | 52 | 48 V | The most common 48 V pack; most downtube moulds take it |
| 13S5P | 65 | 48 V | Above the ceiling of the smaller downtube moulds |
| 13S6P | 78 | 48 V | Mid-size housing and up |
| 14S5P | 70 | 52 V | Same physical size as 13S5P, different BMS |
| 16S6P | 96 | 60 V | Long downtube or rack housings |
| 20S8P | 160 | 72 V | Large rack and cargo housings only |
How many cells fit in the case you are looking at
This is where the multiplication stops being arithmetic and starts being a purchasing question. The published cell count is per format, and the formats differ enough to change the answer:
| Format | Small end of our range | Large end of our range |
|---|---|---|
| Hailong, 18650 | 52 cells | 117 cells |
| Hailong, 21700 | 30 cells | 80 cells |
| Downtube, 18650 | 30 cells | 200 cells |
| Silver Fish, 18650 | — | 130 cells |
| Silver Fish, 21700 | — | 160 cells |
| Rear rack, 18650 | — | 104 cells |
Two cautions that apply to every row above. First, a case described as "18650 or 21700 compatible" is quoting the 18650 number because it is the larger one; the same interior takes roughly 30 % fewer on 21700. Second, the ceiling is not a target — a pack built to the absolute maximum has no room for the BMS, and the BMS is usually what decides whether the case closes.
For the multiplication only, the configuration calculator does it without the table. For the case question, put the configuration into the case selector.

Cell type, series and parallel count is usually enough. If the answer is that none of our moulds fit, we will say so rather than sell you the nearest thing.
